Summer Picnic Ireland, June & July 2022 – Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions are to be adhered to by everyone attending or dealing with the Festival on any of the three dates (04.06.22, 25.06.22, 30.07.22). 



1. All terms and conditions are put in place to ensure a successful event for everyone. We reserve the right to make you leave the grounds if you do not comply with any of the T&Cs without receiving a refund. 

2. These terms and conditions are subject to change. We will notify you if they do by means of email. 

3. Event staff and security will be present on the days to guarantee safety for everyone present. When told something by either of those groups of people, you must comply. 

4. We will refuse entry or evict you when under the influence of drugs or after heavy alcohol consume. Any behaviour that is likely to cause damage to the property of the festival, hurts yourself or others is not accepted. 

5. If you show symptoms of COVID-19 you will not be granted access to festival grounds. 

6. Tickets are for the exact day of the event only. Vendors and artists are subject to change and will not be reason for refund.

7. By entering you consent to any type of sound recording or filming. This includes CCTV, safety recordings by An Garda Síochána and media recordings for marketing purposes. We will not take pictures of one person only unless additional consent is given.

8. We are not responsible for any injuries you may get during your time being of the festival. This includes any circumstances unless caused directly through our negligence. Any personal items brought are at your own risk. We will put all found items away safely. Contact our staff if you lost your items. 

9. These T&Cs are governed by Irish Law and any dispute arising out of or in connection with these T&Cs shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.



10. You will only receive a refund from us if the event had to be cancelled without being rescheduled. You will not receive a refund for a change of artist line up, change of vendors at craft and food markets, weather conditions or delays of the schedule. 

11. Refunds must be requested from the point of purchase, no later than three months after the Event.

12. Refunds of any booking fees per ticket are subject to the terms and conditions of the point of sale. 

13. Personal arrangements relating to the Event including, but not limited to, travel, subsistence and accommodation are at your own risk and We shall not be liable for any losses incurred from personal arrangements or wasted expenditure beyond the ticket refund.


Age Policy

14. This is a family day event and all ages are welcome, children under the age of 12 are granted access free of charge.

15. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult (18 years+) at all times. 

16. We do not take responsibility for any children under the age of 18. 

17. Children aged 12 years and under must be registered at the entrance of the Summer Picnic

18. Children who have camping tickets with patrons over the age of 18 for the weekend of the 29th and 30th July must be accompanied by an adult.


Tickets and Wristbands

19. Tickets must be scanned at the entrance in exchange for the corresponding wristband. You can present your tickets either in print or digital format. 

20. Only wristbands given out by event staff on the day are valid for entry. Do not buy wristbands from any sources. 

21. Tickets and writsbands are property of Summer Picnic and we take out the right to withdraw them from you at any time when a reason given (e.g. non-compliance with T&Cs).

22. You have one ticket and wristband only. We do not give out duplicates if those are lost or stolen. 

23. Tickets cannot be used as part of any marketing, media or sales promotion, without our prior written consent. 

24. If you enter the festival grounds without a valid ticket or after being evicted, this counts as trespassing and will be treated as such.

25. Wristbands and Tickets are strictly in your name and not to be transferred or resold by any means. Wristbands must be worn at all times of the event. If not, you will be asked to leave. 

26. Refunds for already purchased Festival tickets will be possible only in the case of the cancellation of the entire Festival event for reasons other than force majeure. Refunds are not possible for other reasons or in case of cancellation of one or more artists confirmed to perform at the Festival event.

27.  Readmission is only permitted on with the use of wristbands. 

28. You may only leave and re-enter the festival grounds if given the Okay by the event management team. 

29. Anyone attempting to enter the festival with deliberate false identity will be refused entry and runs the risk of being reported to An Garda Síochána. 



30. Searching you and your bags is a measure done at entry for safety reasons. If we ha ve reason to believe you have property on you that is likely to cause disharmony we have the right to search you at any time during the festival with help of security guards and An Garda Síochána.  

31. We are entitled to confiscate any items on you that are considered a weapon or can be used as such. 

32. Any person who gives us reason to believe that they are doing illegal activity must leave the grounds or will be handed over to An Garda Síochána without receiving a refund. 


Banned Items

33. Banned from Event – Smoke and gas canisters, aerosols over 250ml, airhorns, fireworks, flares, glass, illegal substances, drugs, ‘legal highs’ – this includes Nitrous Oxide and associated equipment including balloons, unidentified substances, new psychoactive substances (NPS), illegal items, laser equipment/pens, megaphones, blowtorches, sky lanterns, petrol burners, sound systems, spray cans, tabards/high viz jackets, animals (except guide/hearing dogs), unauthorised vehicles, generators (except for those fitted in campervans).

34. Strictly No alcohol will be allowed to be brought into the festival grounds, any alcohol found on the premises will be removed and destroyed.

35. Banned from the Arena: alcohol purchased outside the festival grounds, disposable barbeques, campsite stoves, audio recorders, open drinks (PERMITTED items include - under 500ml sealed* plastic soft drinks/water bottles and empty reusable bottles of any size.)

36. Only personal photographic equipment is allowed to be used unless contracted by us as a professional photographer. Anyone seen to take pictures for their own professional business will be taken off their equipment until the end of the event. This includes drones at or near the event.  

38. Items that are surrendered or confiscated will not be returned. Anyone resisting the surrender of banned items will face eviction. 

39. Minors are not allowed to bring or purchase alcohol at the event. Additionally, people over 18 are not permitted to buy alcohol for those who under 18. 


Health and Safety

40. Fires such as barbeques or aiming to burn any type of material are banned on the festival grounds. 

41. Smoking is only permitted outside. It is prohibited to smoke or vape in closed, indoor environments. 

42. We do not take any responsibility to damage of hearing due to loud noise or music. 

43. Pyrotechnics, lasers, smoke machines, strobe lighting/special effects may take place during some performances and can be irritating to some or cause seizures.  

44. Sleeping in vehicles or camping in the car parks is not permitted.
